Network Engineer – Design

Experience: 5+ years of Network Engineering experience with a strong focus on network design and architecture.

• Design and architect complex LAN environments within manufacturing facilities , including routing, VLANs, subnetting, and voice/video protocols.
• Strong experience with wired and wireless campus Ethernet technologies and designing robust, campus-scale network infrastructures.
• Solid understanding of network security , including firewalls, VPNs, security protocols, and secure LAN design.
• Provide Level 3 Incident and Problem Management support , diagnosing and resolving complex network issues while meeting service restoration and availability objectives.
• Experience with network monitoring, analysis, and troubleshooting tools to proactively and reactively identify and resolve performance and availability issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Transport, MAN/WAN, Structured Cabling, Project Management, and other technical stakeholders , within agile-focused sprint teams.
• Optimize network performance using load balancing, traffic shaping, Quality of Service (QoS), and network performance metrics .
• Create and maintain detailed network diagrams, configurations, design documentation, and technical specifications .
• Plan and execute network design projects within manufacturing environments , coordinating timelines, resources, dependencies, and stakeholders.
• Ability to review existing network configurations and translate them into new or updated network designs .
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated commitment to staying current with evolving network technologies, industry standards, and best practices .
• CCNA certification or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.
• Knowledge of active and passive RFID technologies is preferred but not required.
