Network Engineer

1. Design network topologies and configure network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and Wi-Fi access points according to the company's operational requirements.
2. Regularly monitor internet connectivity and network traffic to prevent congestion and minimize network downtime.
3. Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly in the event of connectivity problems, including slow or disconnected networks and hardware failures.
4. Implement network security policies, including firewall rules, VPNs, and access control, to protect the company's data infrastructure from cybersecurity threats.
5. Maintain and update network topology documentation, and coordinate with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and hardware vendors to resolve issues involving external connections or infrastructure.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Network Engineer or Network Administrator in an enterprise environment.
3. Hands-on experience configuring and managing Core, Distribution, and Access Layer switches .
4. Strong knowledge of and hands-on experience troubleshooting VLAN, Inter-VLAN Routing, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP/RSTP), LACP/Trunking, and routing protocols such as OSPF/BGP .
5. Experience deploying, configuring, and maintaining Wireless Access Points and Wireless Controllers .
6. Proficient in conducting Wi-Fi Site Surveys , analyzing frequency interference across 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands , troubleshooting dead zones, performing capacity planning, and optimizing wireless roaming.
7. Strong understanding of enterprise Wi-Fi authentication technologies, including 802.1X, RADIUS, Captive Portal, WPA2, and WPA3 .
8. Proficient in configuring IPsec Site-to-Site VPN, Multi-ISP failover/redundancy, traffic shaping, and Policy-Based Routing (PBR) .
9. Experience designing, configuring, and managing SD-WAN architecture to connect headquarters with multiple branch offices.
10. Strong knowledge of Traffic Shaping, Policy-Based Routing (PBR), Performance SLA, and Multi-ISP failover/load balancing .
11. Strong ability to perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and systematically troubleshoot network issues using the OSI Layer methodology , including latency, packet loss, network flapping, and downtime.
12. Experience using network traffic analysis tools such as Wireshark and tcpdump , as well as network performance monitoring tools such as PRTG and Syslog .
13. Experience working with ticketing systems , meeting incident Service Level Agreements (SLAs) , and preparing Post-Incident Reports (PIRs) .
14. Willingness and ability to respond promptly to emergency network troubleshooting incidents outside regular working hours .
