Network Engineer

About the role

PT Mitra Solusi Telematika is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our dynamic team in South Jakarta, Jakarta. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust and secure network infrastructure to support the company's growing technology needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, WiFi, VPN, firewall, switching, and routing environments.
• Implement network configurations in accordance with operational requirements and security standards.
• Monitor network performance and proactively identify potential issues or disruptions.
• Troubleshoot network problems including latency, connectivity issues, and performance degradation.
• Manage network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and access points.
• Perform patching, firmware upgrades, and regular maintenance of network equipment.
• Implement network security controls including ACLs, VLAN segmentation, firewall rules, IDS/IPS, and network policies.
• Conduct periodic reviews and improvements of network security configurations.
• Perform network capacity planning based on traffic analysis and business needs.
• Create and maintain network topology diagrams and configuration documentation.
• Support ICT projects requiring new network integration or configuration.
• Coordinate with vendors and Internet Service Providers (ISP) for network implementation and maintenance.
• Handle critical network incidents and ensure service recovery is completed effectively.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to avoid recurring incidents.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience as a Network Engineer or in a related role.

• Minimum education: Diploma (D3) or Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

• Strong knowledge of:

  • TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP
  • Routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP)
  • LAN, WAN, WLAN, and DNS
  • Firewall technologies (experience with FortiGate is a plus)

• Experience using network monitoring and analysis tools such as Wireshark and SolarWinds.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.

• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
