Network Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Security Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in network security principles and practices, with a particular emphasis on Cisco technologies. This role is critical in ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our network infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage network security solutions to protect the organization's data and infrastructure.
• Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure network configurations and compliance with security policies.
• Maintain and update security documentation, including policies, procedures, and incident reports.
• Provide technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders regarding network security best practices.
• Stay current with emerging security threats and technologies to enhance the organization's security posture.

About you

• Strong knowledge of Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) principles and practices.
• Experience with firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security technologies.
• Proficiency in network protocols and services, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing/switching.
• Hands on experience with network monitoring and analysis tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve network security issues effectively.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in network security or a related role.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment.
