Network Engineer

About the role

This role involves network fault diagnosis, on-site troubleshooting, and support for network changes across high-risk operations. You will perform ODF link operations, cable management activities, and network construction supervision, while managing network assets and responding to incidents in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform on-site troubleshooting and fault diagnosis for network equipment, including the replacement of modules, cards, and other hardware components
• Provide on-site standby and execution support for network changes, with full video recording of high-risk activities as required
• Perform high-risk ODF (Optical Distribution Frame) link operations, as well as cable tray and cable removal activities
• Comply with the Permit-to-Work (PTW) process and all applicable safety procedures for high-risk activities
• Coordinate and submit applications for OEM/vendor site access and construction activities
• Supervise the end-to-end network construction and installation process, ensuring compliance with approved procedures and safety requirements
• Verify and accept completed work to ensure that deliverables meet technical and operational requirements
• Manage network asset inbound/outbound movements, inventory, and reconciliation, and maintain accurate and up-to-date asset records
• Conduct routine network inspections, monitor and handle equipment alarms, and ensure timely escalation and resolution of identified issues
• Support incident handling, emergency response drills, and cross-functional/cross-team operational activities

About you

• Associate degree, college diploma, or above in Networking, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related discipline
• 3+ years of hands-on network equipment O&M experience, with solid knowledge of TCP/IP, switching, and routing protocols
• Proven experience in troubleshooting and maintaining mainstream network equipment, including Cisco, H3C, and Huawei
• Hold at least one mid-level network certification from a major networking vendor, such as Cisco, H3C, Huawei, or an equivalent industry-recognized certification
• Basic understanding of IDC/Data Center operations and audit requirements, with practical knowledge of Permit-to-Work (PTW) procedures and high-risk work control processes
• Fluent in Chinese; proficiency in English is an advantage
• Valid working-at-height certification is preferred
