Network Engineer

Description

We are looking for a Network Engineer (French Speaker) to join an international luxury retail environment, supporting the global network infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring the operational maintenance, performance, availability, and security of the company's network services while contributing to infrastructure evolution and business-driven IT projects.

This role requires a hands-on professional with solid networking expertise, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional IT teams in an international environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar Network Engineer role.
• Fluent in French (mandatory).
• Good command of English (mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of:
  • LAN, WAN and WLAN technologies
  • Cisco Catalyst and Cisco Meraki
  • Switching and Routing
  • Dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, BGP)
  • WAN technologies (MPLS, Site-to-Site VPN, SD-WAN)
  • Firewalls (Palo Alto and Fortinet)
  • Network monitoring tools
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of an international team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the operational maintenance and continuous improvement of the network infrastructure.
• Monitor network performance, availability, and security to guarantee service continuity.
• Support infrastructure evolution initiatives and business-related IT projects.
• Implement network configurations during planned maintenance windows, including outside standard business hours when required.
• Produce and maintain technical implementation and operational documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network incidents.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and security teams to deliver reliable IT services.
• Provide technical guidance and support to internal IT teams and end users.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, monitoring, and service reliability.
• Ensure network solutions follow security and operational best practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) networking.
• Experience with SD-WAN solutions.
• Knowledge of enterprise network monitoring and automation tools.
• ITIL knowledge or certification.
• Experience working in large international or retail environments.
