Network Engineer

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Architecture & Deployment: Design, test, and implement robust network infrastructure across corporate offices and hybrid data centres, including the provisioning of routers, switches, and load balancers.
• Performance Monitoring: Continuously evaluate network traffic patterns, latency, and bandwidth utilization using corporate diagnostic monitoring tools; provide proactive recommendations for physical and virtual hardware upgrades.
• Infrastructure Troubleshooting: Diagnose, isolate, and remediate complex tier-3 network connectivity faults, hardware failures, and configuration issues to maintain maximum system uptime.
• Network Security Implementation: Configure and maintain network security layers, including firewalls, Access Control Lists (ACLs), VPN gateways, and intrusion prevention policies to protect internal enterprise systems from external vulnerabilities.
• Documentation & Standards: Author, update, and maintain comprehensive network topology diagrams, configuration logs, and standard operating procedures to align with internal compliance frameworks.

Pay: £34,500.00-£37,500.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Wantage
