Network Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities

• The Network Engineer will work under Fibercom's subsidiary, Maroev Cyber Systems Inc.
• Respond to support requests and provide technical assistance to clients.
• Responsible for network installation, hardware/software deployment, troubleshooting, and hardening.
• Work in a team environment to resolve client-related issues in systems, network, hardware, and software.
• Document and report identified issues with precise details to vendors and service providers during project implementation.
• Escalate issues for unknown problems or incidents to the appropriate party.
• Maintain clients' network facilities that are under warranty and maintenance agreement.
• Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.
• Participate in vendor demonstrations or proofs-of-concept.
• Enhance job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and engaging in professional organizations and personal networks.
• Adhere to the company’s policies and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering: EE, ECE, IE, or CPE (license preferred)
• IT-related certification will be highly considered
• At least 3 years of experience as a Network or Systems Engineer
• Experience working with or supporting IT/OT infrastructure
• Knowledgeable in Industrial Control Systems (ICS) such as SCADA, DCS, and PLC
• Can work independently with minimal to no supervision
• Strong documentation skills
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and time management skills
• Possesses critical thinking even during stressful situations and environments
• Team player and maintains good relationships with other departments
• Dedicated, passionate, and takes full responsibility for his/her work
