Network Engineer

The challenge is to:

Core responsibilities:

• Build and configure switching, routing, wireless, and firewall changes from approved low-level designs
• Prepare method of procedure (MOP), rollback plans, and change requests for each implementation
• Execute migrations and cutovers, including remote hands coordination with field engineers
• Run pre- and post-change validation and resolve L2 issues raised during hypercare
• Maintain as-built documentation, IP plans, and device inventory

Do you have experience as a Network Engineer?

Experience

• 3–5 years in enterprise network engineering, with at least 2 years in an L2 / implementation role
• Hands-on delivery of network deployments, migrations, and cutovers in production change windows
• Experience supporting multi-site environments (offices, branches, DCs)

Technical skills

• Switching: VLANs, trunking, STP, LACP, port security
• Routing: static, OSPF, BGP fundamentals, VRFs
• Firewall policy, NAT, ACLs, and site-to-site VPN
• Enterprise wireless deployment and troubleshooting
• Network services: DHCP, DNS, NTP, SNMP, syslog, QoS basics
• Troubleshooting with packet captures, monitoring tools, and device logs
• Working knowledge of at least one major vendor (Cisco, Huawei, Juniper, Aruba, Fortinet, Palo Alto)

Certifications

• Required: CCNA or equivalent
• Preferred: CCNP or equivalent
