About the role

Work DD Recruitment Company Limited is seeking a Network Engineer to join our Banking & Financial Services division in Bangkok on a full-time basis. This is a strategic position responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust network infrastructure that supports our corporate and institutional banking operations. The Network Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our IT systems, which are fundamental to delivering seamless financial services to our clients. You will be based in Bangkok and will work on-site to manage our complex network environment.

What you'll be doing

• Design and implement network solutions that support corporate and institutional banking operations and ensure scalability for future growth
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement preventative maintenance to minimise downtime
• Manage and configure network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
• Ensure network security compliance and implement security protocols to protect sensitive financial data
• Collaborate with IT security teams to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities
• Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams on network-related issues
• Document network configurations, processes, and procedures to maintain accurate system records
• Stay current with emerging network technologies and recommend upgrades or improvements to network infrastructure
• Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with external IT service providers as needed
• Participate in network planning and capacity management initiatives

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• 5+ years of experience in network engineering, preferably within the banking or financial services sector
• Strong proficiency with network protocols, routing, switching, and TCP/IP fundamentals
• Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade network equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, or similar manufacturers
• Demonstrated expertise in network security, firewalls, VPNs, and access control
• Knowledge of network monitoring and management tools
• Experience with network design and implementation projects
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desirable
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of banking compliance requirements and financial services infrastructure is a significant advantage
