Network Engineer

About the role

This role involves the installation, configuration, troubleshooting and day-to-day maintenance of company computers, handling desktop-side issues covering hardware, software, network connectivity, printers, and account access permissions. You will perform routine inspection and anomaly handling of network lines, server room environment and basic infrastructure, and manage daily maintenance and resource management of servers and virtualization platforms, including resource allocation, capacity planning and performance monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Installation, configuration, troubleshooting and day-to-day maintenance of company computers
• Handle desktop-side issues covering hardware, software, network connectivity, printers, and account access permissions
• Routine inspection and anomaly handling of network lines, server room environment and basic infrastructure
• Daily maintenance and resource management of servers and virtualization platforms, including resource allocation, capacity planning and performance monitoring
• Participate in incident response, post-incident reviews, disaster recovery planning and formulation of IT operations standards
• Collaborate with business, development and related teams on system go-lives, change implementation and technical support
• Participate in IT asset inventory and IT hardware/software procurement

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering or a related discipline
• At least 1 year of IT operations experience
• Proficient in Windows 11, macOS, Microsoft Office and other common office software
• Experienced in Linux/Windows system administration
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server or PostgreSQL database administration is an advantage
• Familiar with network cabling, switching and routing, data centre infrastructure and virtualization technologies
• Able to independently troubleshoot and resolve common issues
• Strong sense of responsibility, execution ability, problem-analysis skills, and communication and collaboration skills
• Good command of English, Cantonese and Putonghua
