This role offers a varied mix of technical pre-sales, solution design, implementation, network operations, and Level 2/Level 3 technical support. You will work closely with sales teams, customers, suppliers, and other engineers to design, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot reliable and secure network environments.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Fortinet technologies, particularly FortiManager, alongside strong routing, switching, wireless networking, firewall, and VPN capabilities.
Key Responsibilities Network Design and Technical Pre-sales

- Provide cybersecurity recommendations and identify appropriate technical solutions.
- Prepare bills of materials and support solution research where required.
Solution Implementation and Provisioning
- Coordinate with suppliers and stakeholders to support solution delivery.
- Configure and deploy network, firewall, wireless, and security solutions in line with approved designs.
- Participate in site meetings, implementation activities, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Create and maintain technical documentation and internal knowledge base articles for new services and devices.
Network Operations and Technical Support
- Perform routine network health checks, maintenance, system reviews, and firmware upgrades.
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support, independently diagnosing and resolving complex network and security issues.
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot routing, switching, wireless networks, firewalls, and VPN connectivity.
- Implement cybersecurity improvements and provide technical security advice to customers.
- Engage suppliers for advanced technical support when required.
- Guide other engineers by sharing technical knowledge and demonstrating effective troubleshooting practices.
- Prepare monthly customer activity reports and communicate incident resolutions and service updates.
- Participate in an on-call roster.
Documentation and Continuous Improvement
- Maintain accurate physical and logical as-built network diagrams for existing and new customer sites.
- Ensure network configurations, solution designs, and operational procedures are appropriately documented.
- Contribute to new processes and continuously improve existing technical documentation and practices.
Skills and Experience To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Strong hands-on experience in enterprise networking, routing, switching, and network security.
- Practical experience with Fortinet firewalls and FortiManager.
- A solid understanding of firewall and security appliances, VPN technologies, and secure remote access solutions.
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting dynamic routing protocols.
- Strong knowledge of wireless networking, network performance, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Experience conducting site audits, gathering technical requirements, and producing network architecture and implementation documentation.
- The ability to independently investigate and resolve complex technical problems.
- Excellent customer communication skills and the ability to explain technical solutions clearly.
- A proactive approach to technical documentation, problem-solving, and knowledge sharing.
Desirable Experience
- Experience designing, implementing, and supporting VoIP solutions, particularly 3CX and SASBOSS.
- Exposure to CCTV network solutions and multi-site enterprise deployments.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and cloud networking concepts.
- Experience in a managed services provider (MSP) or professional services environment.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
- Work across a diverse range of enterprise networking and cybersecurity projects.
- Take ownership of solutions from initial customer requirements through design, implementation, and ongoing support.
- Combine hands-on technical engineering with customer engagement and solution design.
- Apply your expertise to complex, multi-site network environments while contributing to service quality and continuous improvement.
If you are a technically strong Network Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, working directly with customers, and delivering secure and reliable network solutions, we would like to hear from you.
