Network Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Palo Alto SD-WAN L3 Engineer to design, implement, troubleshoot, and support enterprise WAN and SD-WAN environments across India. This role requires strong expertise in Palo Alto Prisma SD-WAN, routing/switching, security, and advanced Level 3 troubleshooting in large enterprise networks.

The engineer will work closely with infrastructure, security, cloud, and operations teams to ensure stable, secure, and scalable network services while maintaining SLA compliance and driving continuous service improvements.

• Incident Management: Resolve high-priority (P2) incidents through advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis to ensure timely SLA-compliant closure.
• SD-WAN Design & Deployment: Design, deploy, and support Palo Alto Prisma SD-WAN solutions across branch, campus, and data center environments.
• Network Configuration: Configure and manage Palo Alto firewalls, SD-WAN policies, NAT, VPNs, QoS, and segmentation.
• Routing & Switching: Configure and troubleshoot BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, static routing, VLANs, STP, VRRP/HSRP, and QoS.
• VPN & Security: Manage IPSec VPNs, tunnels, failover, and high availability configurations; perform security assessments and recovery drills.
• Migration Support: Support migration from MPLS/traditional WAN to SD-WAN architecture.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor network performance, analyze logs, coordinate capacity planning, and implement proactive improvements.
• Cloud Connectivity: Support cloud networking integrations with AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.
• Disaster Recovery: Perform recovery drills and implement controls to ensure compliance with security standards.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Participate in weekly and monthly service review meetings; provide performance updates and support transparent stakeholder communication.
• Documentation: Create and maintain network diagrams, SOPs, knowledge articles, and technical documentation for future ticket resolution.
• Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with vendors, ISPs, and cross-functional teams during incidents and deployments.

Requirements

Experience Required

• 12+ years of overall IT/networking experience
• 7–12 years of dedicated networking experience
• Minimum 3–5 years of SD-WAN implementation and support experience

Mandatory Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto Prisma SD-WAN (mandatory)
• Proficiency in Cisco Routing and Switching
• Deep understanding of WAN technologies, MPLS, SD-WAN overlays, and VPN technologies

Routing & Switching

• BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and static routing
• VLANs, STP, VRRP/HSRP, QoS

Security & VPN

• IPSec VPN, SSL VPN, NAT, ACLs, and security policies
• Palo Alto firewall configuration and management

Tools & Platforms

• Experience with Panorama and Strata Cloud Manager
• Cloud networking experience: AWS, Azure, and/or GCP
• LAN/WAN/Data Center environment experience
