Network Engineer

About the role

This position provides technical consultancy to directly assist Pedoman Networks Sdn Bhd sales representatives in the office and out in the field for the assigned region. Technical Sales Consultants act as ambassadors for the company, fostering and maintaining strong relationships with customers based on trust and mutual respect. This role requires both technical and sales skills to understand customer needs and requirements in order to assist in the qualification of sales opportunities. You will be viewed as a trusted advisor to help customers, partners and prospects utilise Authentication, Public Key Infrastructure and Hardware Security Module technologies. Must be a self-starter who can multi-task, manage time, prioritise accordingly and thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal direct supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with Sales Teams as a technical consultant for technologies during sales calls, meetings and exhibitions across the territory
• Build product demonstration environments
• Answer technical questions and conduct demonstrations of products and new features to prospects and existing customer accounts
• Provide technical descriptions and content for proposals in response to RFPs and RFIs
• Provide full technical training on solutions
• Gather ongoing prospect and customer feedback and related information
• Deliver remote and field-based product installations, problem resolution and general technical support
• Capture technical detail and business drivers for all sales opportunities in the customer database

About you

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English (Mandarin an added advantage)
• Excellent presentation skills
• Hands-on technical competence with integrating server end security products
• Experience in either FSI or banking segments
• Customer-facing experience within the IT Security industry
• Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent combination of school qualifications and IT industry experience
• Experience in cybersecurity including: HSM, KMS, PKI, CLM, Data Security (Encryption)
• Involved in business development for customer or reseller in the market segment of FSI, government, Telco or ISP
• Demonstrable detailed understanding of, and enthusiasm for, the IT security space (desirable)
• CISSP certification (desirable)
