CoCREATE Solutions is seeking an experienced Network Engineer for a senior-level, customer-facing technical opportunity. This role supports the full lifecycle of network solutions, from pre-implementation planning and architecture through deployment and ongoing support.

The ideal candidate brings strong networking fundamentals, hands-on infrastructure experience, and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues while communicating clearly with technical and nontechnical customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, configure, deploy, administer, and support network infrastructure, including switches and firewalls.
• Contribute to network architecture and pre-implementation planning based on customer needs.
• Diagnose complex network issues, identify root causes, and recommend effective solutions.
• Use Wireshark packet analysis to investigate network performance and connectivity issues.
• Manage technical escalations and provide post-implementation support.
• Maintain accurate ticket documentation, including troubleshooting steps, configurations, and resolutions.
• Explain technical findings and recommendations clearly to customers.
• Work independently while collaborating with a small team across a range of technical responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of networking concepts, infrastructure, and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco and Aruba networking technologies.
• Experience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Palo Alto firewalls.
• Proficiency with Wireshark packet analysis.
• Experience in network administration, configuration, deployment, and technical support.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve complex network issues.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, take ownership, and contribute quickly.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with VoIP or voice systems.

Work Environment

This opportunity suits a resourceful engineer who enjoys working with customers and taking on varied responsibilities within a small team. The successful candidate should be comfortable working independently and bringing practical expertise from day one. Some training is available.

Candidates must be able to work onsite in Birmingham, Alabama, five days per week.

Travel: Less than 10%
