About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join the IT team of a multinational FinTech company and contribute to the management, performance, and security of the company's network environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and maintain enterprise network environments, including LAN/WAN, Data Center networks, and SD-WAN solutions.
• Administer Cisco networking equipment, including Catalyst switches and Cisco Nexus platforms.
• Configure and troubleshoot IP routing protocols, including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
• Manage network security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, and access control mechanisms.
• Monitor network performance and availability, providing Level 2/3 technical support and troubleshooting.
• Diagnose and resolve complex network incidents, minimizing downtime and ensuring service continuity.
• Perform network upgrades, firmware updates, security patching, and configuration changes.
• Implement network security policies and change management procedures.
• Participate in the design, implementation, and optimization of network solutions.
• Evaluate networking hardware and software and contribute to technical planning and procurement.
• Coordinate with internal IT teams, external vendors, and service providers.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and network configuration records.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in enterprise routing and switching.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco technologies, including Catalyst 2960 and 9000 series and Cisco Nexus.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and SD-WAN.
• Practical experience with firewall technologies such as Fortinet FortiGate, Check Point, Cisco ASA/FTD, or Sophos.
• Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
• Good understanding of LAN/WAN networking and Data Center technologies.
• Experience with VoIP network design will be considered an advantage.
• CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent networking certifications will be considered a plus.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English.
