Network Engineer

1. Job Objective

Responsible for managing, operating, and upgrading the bank's network infrastructure at the head office, branches, transaction offices, data centers (DC/DR), and partner-connected systems.

Ensure that the network infrastructure operates stably and securely, provides redundancy, and meets operational requirements in the banking sector.

Act as the technical focal point for network architecture design, resolution of complex technical incidents, and implementation of network connectivity, expansion, and infrastructure upgrade projects.

2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Network Infrastructure Management and Operations

• Manage and maintain LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, Internet, Wi-Fi, and network infrastructure at DC/DR data centers.
• Manage, configure, and operate routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and NAC components within the assigned scope.
• Manage IP addressing, VLANs, routing, QoS, network segmentation, and connectivity configurations between systems.
• Ensure connectivity between internal banking units, service providers, and payment and business partners.
• Monitor network quality metrics, including bandwidth, latency, jitter, packet loss, and device status, to detect connectivity issues promptly.
• Manage configuration backups, software version updates, patch deployment, and network device lifecycle tracking.
• Monitor service quality, control ISP SLA compliance, and coordinate resolution of connectivity incidents.

B. Incident Resolution and Service Continuity

• Lead the analysis and resolution of complex network incidents, including connectivity interruptions, routing failures, and system performance degradation.
• Analyze packet captures, system logs, routing tables, and connection session information to identify incident root causes.
• Coordinate with system infrastructure, application, information security, ISP, and partner teams to resolve issues across transaction flows.
• Design, operate, and test redundancy plans for devices, network links, and connectivity failover mechanisms between DC/DR.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), propose improvements, and monitor implementation of measures to prevent recurring incidents.
• Participate in operational duty coverage, incident response, and out-of-hours infrastructure changes according to assigned schedules.

C. Solution Design and Project Implementation

• Assess requirements, evaluate the current infrastructure, and propose network architectures that meet business needs, security standards, and future scalability requirements.
• Act as the technical focal point or participate in projects involving DC/DR networks, SD-WAN, Wi-Fi, NAC, and partner connectivity.
• Develop, update, or review HLD/LLD network design documentation, physical and logical connectivity diagrams, network traffic flows, and access control matrices.
• Prepare implementation, testing, system migration, and rollback plans; assess risks and potential impacts before making changes.
• Evaluate vendor solutions against redundancy, performance, compatibility, operational convenience, and total cost criteria.
• Research and implement automation for configuration backups, device status checks, and detection of network configuration deviations.
