Network Engineer - Japan | Contract

Network Engineer supporting SD-WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi and cloud networks across Japan.

Your new role

• Support daily network operations with L1/L2 partners and provide L3-level support
• Monitor, operate, and optimize SD-WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi, and cloud-integrated networks
• Support network infrastructure for retail stores, warehouses, offices, and events
• Support new store openings, relocations, warehouse integrations, and partner-site integrations
• Manage major network incidents and ensure resolution within agreed SLAs
• Maintain network documentation, configurations, standards, and inventories
• Coordinate on-site support with regional Helpdesk teams and managed service partners
• Provide weekly operational updates and report network needs and challenges to regional stakeholders

What you'll need to succeed

• 6+ years of enterprise network experience
• Experience with SD-WAN, preferably Fortinet or Meraki
• Strong knowledge of:
  • BGP
  • Fortinet SD-WAN
  • Cisco / Meraki LAN & Wi-Fi
  • AWS networking
• Experience supporting complex, deadline-driven network deployments
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to independently resolve technical issues
• Experience working with managed service partners and handling incident escalation
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines
• Fluent Japanese and English reading/writing ability
• CCNA and ITIL preferred
• CCNP is a plus

• リージョナルHelpdeskおよびマネージドサービスパートナーとのオンサイトサポート調整
• ネットワーク運用状況や課題に関する週次レポーティング

応募条件

• エンタープライズネットワーク分野で 6年以上の実務経験
• SD-WANの実務経験（FortinetまたはMeraki尚可）
• 以下に関する知識・経験
  • BGP
  • Fortinet SD-WAN
  • Cisco / Meraki LAN・Wi-Fi
  • AWS Networking
• 複雑かつ納期の厳しいネットワーク導入対応の経験
• 高い分析力・トラブルシューティング能力
• 自ら技術的な問題を解決できる方
• マネージドサービスパートナーとの協業・インシデントエスカレーション経験
• 高いコミュニケーション・ステークホルダー管理能力
• 複数の業務や優先事項を並行して管理できる方
• 日本語：流暢レベル
• 英語：読み書きができる方
• CCNA・ITIL資格歓迎
• CCNP資格は尚可
