Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced L2 Network Engineer to manage and maintain IT network infrastructure across multiple manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Fortinet firewalls, VPN configuration, Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, routing, switching, and multi-WAN connectivity.

The role involves ensuring network availability, monitoring performance, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and coordinating with on-site support teams to maintain reliable network operations across critical manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain network infrastructure across multiple manufacturing facilities.
• Configure and manage Fortinet firewalls and Sophos security solutions.
• Implement and troubleshoot Site-to-Site VPNs and SSL VPNs.
• Configure and troubleshoot Layer 2/Layer 3 switching, routing, DHCP, DNS, and BGP.
• Manage multiple ISP connections, including Airtel, Tata, ACT, and Pioneer.
• Configure multi-WAN load balancing and network traffic segregation for office, manufacturing process areas, ERP, HRMS, CCTV, and other business applications.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot outages, and work toward high network availability.
• Coordinate with L1/Desktop Support Engineers stationed at different plants and provide remote technical guidance.
• Escalate complex network issues to backend/L3 support teams when required.
• Support future network integration with AWS and Azure cloud environments.
• Minimize network downtime and ensure reliable connectivity for critical manufacturing and MES applications.

Mandatory Skills

• 4 to 6 years of experience in Network Administration / Network Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Fortinet FortiGate Firewalls.
• Experience with Sophos Firewalls.
• Strong knowledge of Site-to-Site VPN and SSL VPN.
• Good understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, routing, and switching.
• Working knowledge of BGP, DHCP, and DNS.
• Experience managing multiple ISP links and multi-WAN load balancing.
• Strong network troubleshooting, monitoring, and incident management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to AWS or Azure networking.
• Experience supporting manufacturing or plant environments.
• Knowledge of network segmentation, high availability, and network uptime management.
• Experience coordinating with distributed IT support teams.
