About the Role
The Network Engineer (NOC‑Domiciled) is a bridging role between Senior NOC Engineering and traditional Network Engineering. The position strengthens the capability of the NOC by performing many of operational and project‑support tasks usually undertaken by Network Engineers, while remaining embedded in the NOC team structure.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring the stability, performance, and quality of network services delivered to our enterprise, corporate, and government clients. The engineer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining network solutions, supporting project delivery, and resolving technical incidents with an unwavering focus on service excellence.
This role works a four-day week of 10-hour shifts, two of which fall on the weekend. Hours are anticipated at 8:30am - 7:30pm on consecutive days.
Key Responsibilities
Day to day you can expect to:
- Monitor and manage incidents across the Cello Core network and client networks
- Own the incident lifecycle - from triage through to resolution and client communication
- Facilitate rapid service restoration within agreed SLA timeframes
- Analyse network data using available toolsets to investigate and diagnose issues
- Manage 3rd party providers during network events
- Keep up to date with vendor technologies and emerging industry trends
