Data Center Network Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Data Center Network Engineer to support the operation, health, and performance of a high-performance data center network environment. The role will focus on network fabric operations, connectivity, troubleshooting, and performance stability across server, switch, and storage environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain the health, connectivity, and performance of the data center network fabric.
• Troubleshoot end-to-end connectivity across server, switch, and storage environments.
• Perform network health checks, link validation, and performance troubleshooting.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues related to optics, cabling, ports, VLANs, routing, and network policies.
• Support switch provisioning, configuration, firmware upgrades, and day-2 network operations.
• Monitor network traffic, congestion, and overall fabric performance.
• Perform troubleshooting across Dell, NVIDIA, and third-party network components.
• Support network performance validation and operational readiness activities.

Technical Requirements

• Strong knowledge of data center Ethernet networking and switching.
• Experience with large-scale data center network environments.
• Experience with high-throughput and/or low-latency networking environments.
• Understanding of network traffic behavior, congestion, and performance tuning.
• Understanding of lossless Ethernet concepts is preferred.
• Experience with switch provisioning, firmware lifecycle management, and network monitoring/telemetry.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across network infrastructure components.
• Good understanding of server-to-switch and switch-to-storage connectivity.

Ideal Background

• Experience in data center networking.
• Experience supporting AI/ML or HPC networking environments is preferred.
• Experience with high-performance Ethernet environments is a plus.
• Experience working with multi-vendor network infrastructure is preferred.
