Key Responsibilities

24/7 NOC & Operational Leadership

• Team Leadership & Scale: Direct, mentor, and manage a team of 7+ monitoring specialists and engineers operating within a 24/7 NOC framework.
• Shift & Escalation Management: Oversee shift scheduling, operational rosters, and incident response workflows, serving as the senior escalation point for critical performance degradations.
• Operational Standards: Maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), drive ITIL-aligned service management, and foster continuous learning within the team.

APM, Dashboarding & Telemetry Optimization

• Tool Configuration: Drive hands-on design, tweaking, and custom creation of real-time monitoring dashboards and alerting logic using Dynatrace and SolarWinds.
• Proactive Monitoring: Establish performance thresholds, Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and baseline metrics across infrastructure, network, and software environments.
• Trend & Capacity Analysis: Perform capacity planning, anomaly detection, and root-cause analysis to prevent outages before end-user disruption occurs.

Strategic Communication & Governance

• Executive Reporting: Translate complex telemetry, performance data, and system outages into clear, business-impact assessments for executive stakeholders.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with software engineering, infrastructure, and vendor teams to drive performance optimization and architecture alignment.

RequirementsEducation & Accreditations

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• ITIL Framework: Practical experience with ITIL v3 or v4 service management processes (certification is desirable but not mandatory).

Leadership & NOC Experience

• Team Management: Proven track record leading technical engineering or operations teams of 7 or more direct reports.
• 24/7 Operations: Direct experience managing Network Operations Center (NOC) facilities or high-availability 24/7 production monitoring environments.

Technical Tooling Mastery

• Core APM / NOC Platforms: Mandatory, hands-on experience with Dynatrace and/or SolarWinds (NPM, APM, custom metrics).
• Dashboarding & Alerting: Verified hands-on capability in building, tweaking, and customizing real-time operational dashboards and alert rules.

Core Competencies & Personal Attributes

• Communication: Outstanding oral and written communication skills; confident in expressing technical opinions and advocating for operational improvements.
• Balanced Leadership: Demonstrates strong interpersonal balance—a collaborative follower of enterprise direction and an empowering leader for technical teams.
