London | Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week
6-month contract | Inside IR35
Financial Services
We are currently recruiting for two Implementation & Migration Engineers to join a large financial services environment in London, supporting a major legacy-to-Cisco ACI migration across two data centres.
This is a hands-on implementation role, working from established High-Level and Low-Level Designs rather than being responsible for designing the solution yourself. You’ll be involved in the physical and technical deployment of infrastructure, including equipment installation, cabling, configuration and migration activities.
Key Responsibilities

Execute network and data centre migrations from legacy infrastructure to
Cisco ACI

Physically rack, cable/patch and configure network equipment within the data centre

Implement solutions strictly against established
LLD/HLD documentation

Work across legacy
Cisco Nexus 9000, 7000 and 5000
environments

Configure and troubleshoot routing, switching and BGP as part of migration activities

Work across two data centres supporting
1,000+ servers and approximately 1,300 users

Manage implementation activity through ticketing and change-management processes

Coordinate activity across two operational environments as their processes and systems are progressively consolidated

Essential Experience

Strong practical understanding of
routing, switching and BGP fundamentals

Hands-on experience with
Cisco ACI and/or large-scale data centre migration

Strong Cisco networking background, ideally including
Nexus

Experience implementing network infrastructure from
LLDs/HLDs

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve networking issues independently

CCNP or equivalent practical experience
– certification is beneficial but not essential

A demonstrable history of stable employment/contract engagements

The Person
We’re looking for a genuine
hands-on engineer and doer
who can take an implementation task, follow the defined design and process, and get the work completed without requiring significant hand-holding.
You should be comfortable working in a structured enterprise environment, following established change and implementation processes while taking ownership of your assigned work.
Please note:
strong networking fundamentals are particularly important for this position. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate a solid understanding of
routing, switching and BGP
during the interview process.
