Network Manager

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Network Manager to join a leading organisation in Singapore's payments industry. This role is responsible for managing and enhancing the enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across mission-critical environments.

You will work closely with infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud, and application teams to deliver strategic network initiatives while maintaining a stable and secure production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and operational management of enterprise network infrastructure.
• Manage LAN, WAN, wireless, Internet, and data centre networking environments.
• Oversee network availability, performance, capacity planning, and lifecycle management.
• Drive network transformation and modernization initiatives, including hybrid cloud connectivity and software-defined networking where applicable.
• Ensure network security best practices are implemented in collaboration with the cybersecurity team.
• Lead incident, problem, and change management activities for network services.
• Manage relationships with vendors, system integrators, and telecommunications providers.
• Develop network architecture standards, technical documentation, and operational procedures.
• Lead infrastructure projects from planning through implementation and production support.
• Mentor and guide network engineers while providing technical leadership on complex network issues.
• Work closely with business and technology stakeholders to support new business initiatives and infrastructure enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with organisational governance, security standards, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 8–12 years of experience in enterprise network engineering, with leadership or management experience preferred.
• Strong hands-on expertise in enterprise networking technologies, including:
• Cisco routing and switching
• BGP, OSPF, MPLS
• Firewalls (Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet or equivalent)
• Load Balancers (F5 or equivalent)
• VPN, IPSec and remote connectivity
• DNS, DHCP and network services
• Wireless networking
• Experience supporting high-availability, mission-critical production environments.
• Knowledge of cloud networking (Azure and/or AWS) and hybrid connectivity.
• Experience with network monitoring, automation, and infrastructure-as-code is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working within the banking, financial services, or payments industry will be highly advantageous.
