What they need
- Continuously monitor enterprise network health, device performance, and link stability using centralized monitoring platforms (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Cisco DNA Center) to detect anomalies before they cause downtime.
- Navigate the Cisco Command Line Interface (CLI) via secure SSH to perform rapid Layer 1–3 troubleshooting. Utilize standard diagnostic commands to pinpoint packet drops, routing loops, or hardware failures.
- Open, update, and manage incident tickets within enterprise ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, BMC Remedy). Document exact timestamps, symptoms, and troubleshooting steps with audit-ready accuracy.
- Execute strictly governed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to resolve common network faults, such as bouncing stuck interfaces, verifying VLAN assignments, and clearing address caches.
- Seamlessly escalate complex routing or architectural issues to L3/L4 engineering teams. Collaborate closely with internal Security Operations Centers (SOC) and external telecom service providers during critical outages.
- Enforce stringent operational security protocols, monitor physical port security, and maintain absolute confidentiality regarding network topology and incident data.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Active CCNA certification is strictly required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related technical discipline.
- 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in a NOC, SOC, or IT Command Center environment, preferably within enterprise, or telecom sectors.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, basic routing protocols (OSPF, static routing), Subnetting, and access control concepts.
- Demonstrable experience with enterprise ticketing systems and network monitoring software (NMS).
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to document technical issues clearly for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to remain calm, analytical, and process-driven during high-pressure network incidents.
- Willingness to work rotating shift schedules (including nights, weekends, and public holidays) to support a 24/7/365 command center operation.
- UAE Driving License will be an advantage
