Network Security Architect

🚀 Hiring: Platform Architect – Network Security | Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid)

Are you an experienced Network Security Architect looking to play a key role in shaping and securing enterprise network environments?

We're seeking a Platform Architect – Network Security to lead architecture strategy, governance, and modernization initiatives while ensuring compliance with security and resilience requirements, including NIS2 .

📍 Location: Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid)

📅 Contract Duration: 12 Months (Full-Time)

🏢 Onsite: Hybrid, with regular presence in Brussels

Key Responsibilities

✅ Define and drive the roadmap for Network & Security platforms

✅ Develop and maintain enterprise network security architectures and standards

✅ Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend future-state solutions

✅ Support strategic projects as an Architect or Technical Lead

✅ Produce architectural documentation (HLDs, LLDs, standards, design principles)

✅ Conduct architecture reviews and validate technical designs

✅ Ensure compliance with security, resilience, and regulatory requirements

✅ Collaborate closely with Solution Architects, Security Governance teams, and project stakeholders

✅ Mentor and support network and security engineers

✅ Drive knowledge sharing, documentation, and technical best practices

Required Skills & Experience

✔ Senior Network Security Architecture experience

✔ Strong expertise in:

• ACI
• MPLS
• IP Routing
• Switching
• WiFi
• ExpressRoute
• HSRP / VRRP
• Firewall Technologies
• VPN
• WAF
• Proxy Technologies
• Algosec

✔ Network & Security automation experience

✔ Technology roadmap definition and architecture governance

✔ Project leadership and stakeholder management

✔ Knowledge of NIS2, security compliance, and risk management frameworks

✔ Experience producing HLD, LLD, and enterprise architecture documentation

Nice to Have

➕ Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls

➕ AI use cases within Network Security

➕ Public Sector experience

Language Requirements

✅ French or Dutch (Native/Bilingual)

✅ English (Professional Working Proficiency)

Additional Requirements

✔ Ability to work onsite in Brussels several days per week

✔ Comfortable supporting planned night/weekend activities when required

✔ Strong communication and leadership skills
