Network Security Engineer Remote (Based at an approved local secure facility). We work US time zones and ask that you're available during those hours, even if that means adjusting your schedule.

About The Role This role exists to protect network infrastructure from threats and vulnerabilities through hands-on security engineering. You will work with a structured, process-driven team that values precision and error-free operations. Your work is highly autonomous—you'll own decisions about security configurations and threat response. The team is internationally distributed and works primarily asynchronously, with communication happening through written documentation and recorded updates. You will design, deploy, and manage security systems that prevent unauthorized access and detect intrusions.

What You'll Do Deploy and configure firewalls (Palo Alto Networks, Cisco ASA, Fortinet FortiGate) to protect network perimeters and enforce security policies.

Monitor intrusion detection and prevention systems to identify threats and respond to security incidents in real time.

Design network segmentation strategies using specialized tools to isolate critical systems and limit lateral movement of threats.

Conduct vulnerability assessments on network infrastructure and recommend security improvements based on findings.

What We're Looking For Demonstrated experience with network security principles, practices, and threat landscape.

Hands-on experience managing and configuring firewalls (Palo Alto Networks, Cisco ASA, Fortinet FortiGate).

Working knowledge of intrusion detection and intrusion prevention systems and their deployment.

Experience designing secure network architectures that minimize attack surface.

Familiarity with network segmentation tools and techniques.

Between 1–5 years of professional experience in network security, or 5+ years at mid-senior level.
