Tamheer Trainee – Network Security Engineer

Training Overview

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Tamheer Trainee to join our team as a Network Security Engineer. The trainee will gain hands-on experience in network operations, security monitoring, troubleshooting, documentation, and cybersecurity best practices within a professional IT environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring and maintaining network infrastructure, including network switches, firewalls, and Network Access Control (NAC) systems .
• Support the team in troubleshooting and resolving network and cybersecurity-related issues.
• Assist with monitoring network security gateways, access controls, and endpoint security solutions.
• Support the development, maintenance, and documentation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for network and security operations.
• Assist with the installation, configuration, and upgrade of network components and related software.
• Support the maintenance and documentation of network topology and infrastructure diagrams .
• Assist in implementing and monitoring network security configurations in accordance with cybersecurity requirements.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation related to network infrastructure and security systems.
• Support vendor coordination and communication with internal IT teams.
• Assist with audit requirements and provide technical documentation when needed.
• Gain practical experience in network monitoring, troubleshooting, network security, and cybersecurity operations .
• Perform other related tasks and assignments as required by the team.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Information Security, Network Engineering , or a related field.
• Eligible for the Tamheer Program .
• Basic understanding of networking and cybersecurity concepts.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, Switching, Routing, and Firewalls is a plus.
• Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
