Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated Network Security Engineer to help protect enterprise networks, systems, and data from security threats. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of networking fundamentals, firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, VPNs, and network monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain network security controls and policies.
• Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, and secure network access.
• Monitor network traffic to identify suspicious activities and potential security threats.
• Support Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS).
• Perform network vulnerability assessments and assist with remediation.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity and security-related issues.
• Implement network segmentation, access control lists, and secure routing policies.
• Review network logs and investigate security alerts.
• Support incident response, root-cause analysis, and security investigations.
• Maintain network diagrams, security documentation, and configuration records.
• Collaborate with network administrators, cloud teams, and security operations teams.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong fundamentals in computer networking.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/HTTPS, VLANs, routing, and switching.
• Understanding of firewalls, VPNs, NAT, and access control lists (ACLs).
• Knowledge of network security principles and common cyber threats.
• Familiarity with IDS/IPS and network traffic monitoring.
• Basic understanding of encryption, authentication, and secure communication.
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows networking concepts.
• Ability to troubleshoot network and security issues.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience with firewall platforms such as Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet FortiGate, Check Point, or Cisco Firepower.
• Familiarity with Cisco networking equipment and network configuration.
• Knowledge of tools such as Wireshark, Nmap, and tcpdump.
• Exposure to SIEM platforms such as Splunk, IBM QRadar, or Microsoft Sentinel.
• Understanding of Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), network segmentation, and secure remote access.
• Basic knowledge of cloud networking security in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with vulnerability assessment and security auditing.
• Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Security+, Fortinet certifications, or equivalent are an advantage.

Educational Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech, B.Sc., M.Sc., MCA, or an equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.

Experience Requirements

• Freshers: Candidates with networking fundamentals, cybersecurity labs, relevant certifications, or practical projects are encouraged to apply.
• Experienced Candidates: 13 years of experience in network security, firewall administration, network engineering, or cybersecurity operations.
