Role overview

We are looking for a network support resource who can handle network-related requests and basic troubleshooting. You will be the point of contact for firewall, website access, IP anchoring and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) requests: gathering the technical details, raising the request and following it through to resolution.

At least one person in the team must be able to cover this work. The client's specific network request processes are taught through the guides and training we provide, so you do not need to know them in advance.

Key responsibilities

• Cover network-related requests and carry out basic network troubleshooting.
• Work out whether an issue relates to connectivity, firewall rules, website access or application configuration.
• Gather the technical information needed for a request, such as FQDNs, IP addresses, ports and protocols.
• Raise firewall and network access requests using the client's request processes.
• Help raise, monitor and troubleshoot requests for firewall rules, website access, IP anchoring and ZPA application segments.
• Follow requests through to completion and keep requesters informed of progress.

Required skills and experience

• A good understanding of FQDNs, IP addresses, ports and protocols.
• Ability to troubleshoot network issues and identify whether the cause is connectivity, firewall rules, website access or application configuration.
• Ability to work through network-related requests and basic troubleshooting without close supervision.
• Clear written communication for documenting technical details and request status.

Desirable skills and experience

• Previous experience with Zscaler, particularly Zscaler Private Access (ZPA).
• Experience gathering technical information and raising firewall or network access requests.
• Familiarity with monitoring and troubleshooting requests for website access, IP anchoring or ZPA application segments.
