Perimeter Design Engineer

Location- Remote

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Perimeter Design Engineer with strong expertise in Fortinet firewall technologies, enterprise network security, and perimeter architecture. The candidate will design secure, scalable firewall solutions, develop HLD/LLD documentation, and support network segmentation, data center transformation, and security modernization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and document HLD/LLD for enterprise firewall and perimeter security solutions.

Expertise in FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, SD-WAN, HA, VPN, NAT, and DMZ architectures.

Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network segmentation.

Develop security standards, reference architectures, and engineering guidelines.

Support firewall upgrades, migrations, lifecycle management, and complex troubleshooting.

Collaborate with security, infrastructure, cloud, and application teams.

Required Qualifications:

US Citizenship required; must pass background checks.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT, Cybersecurity, or Engineering.

Strong Fortinet firewall design and enterprise perimeter security experience.

Experience with Arista/Arista CVP and Cisco networking technologies.

VMware certification: VCP6+-DCV or VCP6+-CMA.

3–5 years of Windows, UNIX, or Linux server administration experience.

Python and Ansible are preferred.

Fortinet certifications (FCP, FCSS, FCX, or NSE 4–8) preferred.

Check Point firewall experience and financial services industry experience are a plus.
