Network Security Engineer, Senior

Our client, a global enterprise operating in a complex Microsoft and Azure environment, is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer to serve as the cornerstone of their infrastructure security practice. In this role, you will function as the Tier 2/3 escalation point for advanced security investigations, partnering daily with Networking and Systems teams to architect and defend a high-scale, globally distributed infrastructure. You will own the full lifecycle of enterprise firewall and F5 Load Balancer deployments, manage privileged access through CyberArk, and drive meaningful security automation that reduces manual toil and strengthens organizational resilience. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for an engineer who has grown from network and systems roots into deep security expertise and is ready to make a measurable impact on enterprise-wide security posture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Tier 2/3 escalation point for complex security investigations, leading incident analysis and response across global network infrastructure.
• Architect, deploy, and manage enterprise firewall solutions and F5 Load Balancers to enforce network defense policies and ensure high availability.
• Administer and optimize the Azure security stack — including Microsoft Sentinel and Defender for Cloud — to maximize threat visibility and detection coverage.
• Manage CyberArk privileged access management infrastructure, ensuring least-privilege enforcement and audit-readiness across the environment.
• Tune SIEM and IDS platforms to reduce noise, improve signal fidelity, and deliver actionable security alerts to operations and leadership.
• Design and build security automation workflows using PowerShell and Python to streamline repetitive tasks and accelerate incident response capabilities.

Requirements:

• 7 or more years of progressive security engineering experience, with a career trajectory from systems or network engineering into a dedicated security function.
• Deep hands-on expertise with F5 Load Balancers, including deployment, SSL offloading, and security policy configuration in enterprise environments.
• Proven experience administering CyberArk for privileged access management, including vault configuration, session monitoring, and policy enforcement.
• Strong command of Azure security tooling including Microsoft Sentinel, Defender for Cloud, and related identity and network protection services.
• Solid understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, VPN, NAT) and enterprise firewall platforms at an architectural level.
• Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell and/or Python to develop security automation, tooling integrations, and operational workflows.
