Job Summary:

Seeking a Network Software Engineer with experience in Layer 2 networking, Carrier Ethernet, Linux, and C/C++ development.

Key Technical Skills:

IEEE 802.1Q VLAN, 802.1p, 802.1ad QinQ, LACP, STP/RSTP, MSTP, Source Learning, SPB(or any DC feature like VXLAN/EVPN).

OAM Protocols:

802.3ah EFM, 802.1ag CFM, Y.1731.

Software Skills:

Strong C/C++ programming, Linux development, debugging, and troubleshooting.

AI Agent & Automation Skills:

Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar) to improve engineering productivity, with knowledge of AI agent/skill development, deployment, and lifecycle management. Familiarity with prompt engineering, API integration, tool orchestration frameworks, RAG architecture, MCP-based integrations, and AI-driven automation. Experience applying AI agents to engineering workflows, test automation, troubleshooting, network operations, and operational process optimization is highly desirable. Ability to evaluate, validate, and produce AI-generated code and solutions.

Preferred Knowledge:

Data-path pipeline processing and exposure to Broadcom or Marvell ASICs.

Responsibilities:

Develop, debug and maintain L2 switching features, troubleshoot protocol issues, perform RCA, work with QA and ASIC teams.
