Network Support Co-ordinator

About the role

The Network Support Centre plays a crucial role in ensuring urban bus drivers stay on the move by coordinating safe public transport systems. The Network Support team is operations-focused, providing precise and real-time radio support to maintain the smooth functioning of the public transport bus network.

Key responsibilities

• Radio Support: Provide calm, clear assistance to our drivers on the road, helping resolve issues and ensuring safe service delivery.

• System Monitoring: Use our Real Time Information (RTI) system to proactively identify and address operational challenges.

• Data and Reporting: Manage RTI data for regular reporting and analytics to support service improvements.

• Event Response and Coordination: Respond to breakdowns, accidents, traffic delays, and major events by coordinating bus movements.

• Team Collaboration: Work closely with our operations team and external providers to communicate service changes and escalate issues when needed.

About you

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills – calm, clear, and concise
• A genuine interest in public transport and service delivery
• Strong multitasking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Confident using computer systems and recording information accurately in real time
• The ability to follow processes, even under time pressure
• Organised with great time management skills

• Shifts run Monday to Thursday (5:00am–1:00am) and Friday to Sunday (starting Friday 5.00am, through to 4.00am Sunday), with additional hours available.
