Network Support Engineer

We are looking for a reliable Onsite IT Support / Field Service Engineer in or around Limoges, France, to perform onsite technical support activities and coordinate with a remote engineering team.

The engineer will be responsible for onsite access, equipment checks, photos, console connectivity, remote-team coordination, and completion of the Site Visit Report.

Tasks

Arrive onsite at the agreed date and time.Coordinate with the Point of Contact (POC) to gain access to the server room.

Take clear photos of the server, networking equipment, racks, cabling, and relevant onsite setup.Share required photos with the remote engineering team.

Join the scheduled Microsoft Teams/remote support session at the exact agreed time.Follow instructions from the remote engineering team during configuration, troubleshooting, or diagnostic activities.

Provide console access to network/server equipment whenever requested.Assist the remote team with basic physical checks and onsite troubleshooting.

Maintain professional communication with the POC and remote engineering team.

Complete the Site Visit Report (SVR) after the onsite activity.Obtain the POC's signature on the completed SVR.

Share the signed SVR and required evidence/photos with the project team.

Requirements

Experience in IT Support, Desktop Support, Field Service, Network Support, or Onsite Technical Support.

Basic understanding of networking and IT infrastructure.

Experience working with servers, routers, switches, racks, and network equipment is preferred.

Ability to connect laptops to equipment using RJ45/Ethernet and console cables.

Basic knowledge of console access and network troubleshooting.Comfortable working in a server room/data center environment.

Ability to follow instructions from a remote engineering/NOC team.Good documentation and reporting skills.Professional communication with onsite contacts.
