Network System Administrator

Job Summary:
Local South Jersey company seeking a resolute IT Support professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will maintain our network connections, manage hardware (servers, switches, firewalls, provide technical assistance and support to our employees, ensuring smooth IT operations. Position is full-time, Monday to Friday, 30 hours per week, in-person.

Duties
-Own and maintain our network: firewalls, switches, Wi-Fi, VPN, and internet services.

-Monitor network security and respond to threats.

-Troubleshoot network issues and outages

-Create and maintain network documentation and diagrams.

-Ensure data security and privacy protocols are followed.

-Document IT procedures and solutions for future reference.

-Evaluate hardware/software systems of partner vendors for suitability to operate cloud-based software packages.

-Maintain vehicle camera systems.

-Install and maintain tablets and mobile devices used by transportation staff.

-Support transportation technology and its network connections.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in an IT support role
• Proficiency in Office applications and help desk software
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
• Knowledge of LAN networks, VPNs, firewalls, Wi-Fi, and technical support principles
• Familiarity with Windows operating system
