Network Technician

Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Network Technician to join our team. This position will be responsible for completing residential Wi-Fi and internet installations, with occasional opportunities to assist with company audio-visual projects if additional help is needed.

The technician will travel to customer homes to install and set up Wi-Fi equipment, connect internet services, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure each installation is completed according to company standards. Training will be provided, so previous experience with Wi-Fi installation is not required. The ideal candidate is dependable, willing to learn, comfortable working independently, and committed to providing excellent customer service.

The position generally follows an approximately 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule and averages around 40 hours per week. Actual hours may vary depending on scheduled jobs, travel time, and the day's workload. Technicians are responsible for managing their assigned jobs and completing them within the required timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Install and set up Wi-Fi equipment in residential homes.
• Resolve and troubleshoot internet and equipment issues.
• Communicate professionally with customers throughout the installation process.
• Explain equipment, services, and basic functionality to customers.
• Complete installation paperwork and required job documentation accurately.
• Receive assigned jobs through the company's job platform and manage the completion of assigned work.
• Complete each job according to company standards and United Fiber requirements.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional appearance and conduct while working in customer homes.
• Communicate with the company regarding job status, customer concerns, or issues that require additional assistance.
