Job Description: Our client is seeking a hands-on network/desktop support specialist to provide technical support for employees, computers, peripherals, and network-connected equipment. This role is ideal for an IT support professional with approximately 3–4 years of experience who enjoys solving problems, working directly with users, and learning specialized systems.

The environment is predominantly cloud-based, with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and some remaining server and VMware infrastructure. Success requires strong troubleshooting skills, dependable follow-through, and comfort supporting employees throughout an industrial facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide onsite and remote technical support for desktops, laptops, peripherals, and company-issued mobile devices.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, user-access, and basic network connectivity issues.
• Support users and administrative tasks within Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
• Troubleshoot connectivity between computers and specialized operational equipment.
• Assist with support of remaining server and VMware infrastructure.
• Support employees at additional company locations remotely, with occasional travel when hands-on assistance is needed.
• Document support requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
• Help improve support processes, knowledge documentation, and ticket tracking.
• Communicate clearly with users of varying technical backgrounds and follow issues through resolution.
• Learn site-specific systems and follow applicable facility safety procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Approximately 3–4 years of relevant desktop support, IT support, or combined network/desktop support experience.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting computers, peripherals, and basic network connectivity.
• Working knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
• Ability to diagnose technical problems methodically and recognize when escalation is needed.
• Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• A proactive, dependable approach to managing support requests.
• Willingness to work onsite in an industrial environment and travel occasionally to other locations.

Preferred Qualifications

• English/Spanish bilingual communication skills , particularly when assisting users with technical issues.
• Experience supporting IT in manufacturing, warehouse, recycling, or similar industrial settings.
• Familiarity with cloud-based environments, servers, and VMware.
• Experience using, improving, or helping implement an IT ticketing system.
• Experience troubleshooting computers connected to specialized operational equipment.

Work Environment: This position supports both office and plant personnel and requires working throughout an active industrial facility. Candidates should be comfortable working around operating equipment, following site safety procedures, and providing hands-on assistance where issues occur.

Training will be provided on company-specific systems and specialized equipment.
