Job Title: Neurophysiology Technoligist / Technician

Location: Phulgran Stop, near Toll Plaza, Murree Expressway, Islamabad

Organization: The Diabetes Centre- Islamabad

Job Summary:

A Neurophysiology Technologist/Technician records, analyzes, and monitors the electrical activity of the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and muscle groups to assist physicians in diagnosing and managing neurological conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the doctor in performing and interpreting neurophysiological investigations as required.
• Perform EEG (Electroencephalography) procedures according to clinical protocols.
• Perform EMG (Electromyography) procedures in coordination with the doctor.
• Perform NCS (Nerve Conduction Studies) and assist the doctor during examinations.
• Prepare patients and equipment for neurophysiological procedures.
• Ensure proper placement and operation of electrodes and other diagnostic equipment.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation of test results.

Skills:

o EEG: Expert in performing EEG procedures, electrode placement, patient preparation, and obtaining accurate recordings.

o EMG: Skilled in assisting and performing EMG procedures under the supervision of the doctor.

o NCS: Proficient in conducting Nerve Conduction Studies and ensuring accurate technical recordings.

o Equipment Handling: Ability to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain neurophysiology equipment effectively.

Requirements:

Education:

• BS Degree or Diploma in Neurophysiology, Neurodiagnostic Technology, or a related field.

Minimum 1 year of relevant experience as a Neurophysiology Technician.

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience as a Neurophysiology Technician..
