Neurophysiology Technologist

Job Purpose

To perform neurophysiological diagnostic procedures accurately and safely, providing high-quality recordings and technical support to assist clinicians in the diagnosis and management of neurological conditions.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform neurophysiological diagnostic procedures such as Electroencephalography (EEG), Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS) and other related neurodiagnostic tests according to established protocols.
• Prepare patients for procedures, provide clear explanations and ensure their safety, comfort and privacy throughout the examination.
• Ensure accurate electrode placement, equipment setup and acquisition of high-quality recordings for clinical interpretation.
• Maintain neurophysiology equipment, patient records and proper documentation while adhering to infection control, safety and quality standards.
• Work closely with Neurologists, Consultants, Nurses and other healthcare professionals to support effective diagnosis and quality patient care.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Medical/Health Sciences, Biomedical Science, Medical Technology, Neurophysiology or other relevant recognised qualification.
• Relevant experience or training in EEG, NCS or other neurophysiological diagnostic procedures is preferred.
• Good understanding of basic neurophysiology and clinical diagnostic procedures.
• Detail-oriented with good technical, communication and patient care skills.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
