New American Restaurant Associate

Job Summary

Rooster's Wood-fired Kitchen Uptown is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused New American Restaurant Associate to support daily restaurant operations and deliver a welcoming dining experience. This role assists with guest service, food and beverage orders, food preparation, order accuracy, cleanliness, and coordination between kitchen and front-of-house team members.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional customer service.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate special requests to the appropriate team members.
• Assist with preparing and serving New American menu items, appetizers, sides, and beverages.
• Support food preparation, portioning, plating, packaging, and order assembly as needed.
• Ensure food orders are complete, accurate, and presented appropriately.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly and courteously.
• Answer guest questions about menu items and provide basic menu guidance.
• Assist with point-of-sale transactions and customer payments as needed.
• Maintain clean and organized dining areas, counters, service stations, and workspaces.
• Clear tables and help maintain a welcoming dining environment.
• Restock food supplies, beverages, utensils, napkins, and other service items.
• Assist kitchen and front-of-house team members during busy service periods.
• Follow food handling, sanitation, cleanliness, and workplace safety procedures.
• Handle food, equipment, and restaurant supplies carefully.
• Communicate guest concerns, supply needs, and service issues to supervisors.
• Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and general restaurant duties.
• Help maintain consistent food quality, presentation, and order accuracy.
• Support effective teamwork and efficient restaurant operations throughout each shift.
• Perform other restaurant service and support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, food service, hospitality, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Good attention to detail and order accuracy.
• Willingness to learn menu details and restaurant service procedures.

Rooster's Wood-fired Kitchen Uptown offers a restaurant dining environment focused on food, hospitality, and guest satisfaction. The team works together to provide attentive service while maintaining food quality, cleanliness, and efficient daily operations.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42.0 per week
