New Build Engineer

Exciting Opportunity: Workshop based Mini Crane and Lifting Equipment service and maintenance engineer for a leading equipment hire company based in Haddenham (HP17 8LJ)

GGR Group Ltd is seeking an experienced and highly motivated electrically biased engineer to join our team completing the installation & commissioning of safety systems, pre-delivery preparation of new and used machinery, overhaul and repair of machinery (Cranes and lifting equipment) .

The role is predominately workshop based, applicants should have previous engineering experience ideally in the installation of systems, preparation of machinery, general machinery servicing and maintenance (Experience with electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems).

We are seeking an engineer with a strong work ethic and an ability to carry out tasks to a high standard in a clean and efficient manner.

Training on specialist equipment will be provided, previous experience in the cranes and lifting industry desired.

Key responsibilities:

· Preparation of new and used cranes for sale

· Installation of safety systems, calibration and testing of the crane’s specifications

· PDI inspections and testing for both incoming and outgoing machinery

· Refurbishment and repair of older machines

· Fault finding and diagnosis of equipment defects

· Support field-based engineers with fault finding and diagnostics

· Support training staff in delivering engineering training to customers

· Support to R&D departments

· Maintenance of records for engineering, health & safety and customer service purposes

· To maintain and improve health & safety in the workplace

· All other engineering/workshop duties as deemed necessary

Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

· Electrical Engineering experience (12/24v DC automotive / Plant type systems)

· Previous experience with plant based electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems

· Communication system experience (CAN bus) (ideal but not essential)

· Level 2 or 3 engineering qualification

· High attention to detail

· Ability to complete installation of systems to a consistently high level

· Follow electrical and hydraulic diagrams

· Fault finding and problem solving

· Understanding of health and safety requirements

· Customer facing skills

· Administrative skills (IT / digital based systems)

· Driving licence

· Team player

Job Terms

£40,000 - £42,500 applicant & experience dependant

Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm
