New Business Design Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Design and develop injection molds for plastic components as per customer requirements and company standards.
• Review product designs and provide moldability recommendations.
• Coordinate with mold manufacturing vendors and internal teams to ensure timely project execution.
• Follow up on mold manufacturing, trials, modifications, and qualification activities.
• Analyze molding defects and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Support process optimization and product improvement initiatives.
• Interact directly with customers to discuss technical requirements, design changes, and project updates.
• Prepare and maintain design documentation, reports, and project records.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for project tracking, reporting, and customer presentations.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Technical Requirements

• 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in Injection Mold Design.
• Strong knowledge of injection molding processes and tooling concepts.
• Experience in mold manufacturing follow-up and project coordination.
• Expertise in defect analysis, root cause identification, and process/product improvement.
• Familiarity with mold design standards, DFM, and tooling best practices

Software Skills

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with mold design software (e.g., NX, Creo, SolidWorks, or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
