Job Description

• Lead new product development of panel fasteners, ejectors, latches, and smart handles from concept to production.
• Collaborate directly with customers to gather design requirements and translate them into product solutions. Develop concepts, prototypes, and validation samples while partnering with manufacturing teams.
• Conduct product testing, performance validation, and design optimization.
• Drive continuous product improvements to enhance functionality, quality, and manufacturability.

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of mechanical product design experience, ideally in fastening systems, latches, ejectors, handles, or related components.
• Experience within the server, datacenter, electronics hardware, or similar industries is highly preferred.
• Proficient in CAD design tools such as Pro/E (Creo) and AutoCAD, with exposure to simulation and FEA software such as ANSYS or Deform.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes including stamping, injection molding, zinc/aluminum casting, powder metallurgy, and MIM.
• Knowledge of fastening industry standards and mechanical design principles.
• Strong capability in cam, gear, and transmission mechanism design, including strength calculations.
• Hands-on experience managing projects from concept development through prototype validation and mass production.
• Strong problem-solving mindset with a passion for innovative mechanical product development.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with customers and cross-functional engineering teams.
