New Product Development Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end new product development activities from concept to mass production within defined timelines.
• Develop product designs, engineering drawings, technical specifications, and BOM in line with customer requirements.
• Manage prototyping & testing to ensure product performance, functionality, and reliability.
• Handle project management activities including planning, tracking timelines, and ensuring on-time delivery.
• Manage vendor development and coordination for tooling, materials, and outsourced processes.
• Ensure strong cross-functional collaboration with Production, Quality, Purchase, Sales, and Marketing teams.
• Coordinate with production and engineering teams for process development, tooling, and smooth transition to mass production.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction, material optimization, and value engineering.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
• Maintain and control technical documentation such as drawings, BOM, and change records.
• Analyze customer requirements, market trends, and competitor products to support innovative product development.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Production Engineering or related field
• 4–6 years of experience in New Product Development (manufacturing/tubular/automotive preferred)
• Strong knowledge of product design, engineering drawings, and BOM
• Experience in prototyping, testing, and validation
• Knowledge of project management and vendor handling
• Good communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD/SolidWorks)

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
