New Product Development Manager

Job Summary
The NPD Officer is responsible for developing and managing new cosmetic products for OEM customers, from concept development to commercial launch. This role works closely with customers, R&D, Production, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Procurement, and Marketing teams to ensure products meet customer requirements, quality standards, regulatory compliance, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage new product development projects for OEM cosmetic products, including skincare, haircare, personal care, and color cosmetics.
2. Coordinate with customers to understand product requirements, specifications, target costs, and timelines.
3. Work closely with the R&D team to develop formulations that meet customer expectations and market trends.
4. Monitor project timelines and ensure successful product launches according to schedule.
5. Coordinate product sampling, stability testing, compatibility testing, and product evaluation.
6. Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs to ensure compliance with local and international cosmetic regulations.
7. Coordinate with Production and Quality teams for pilot batches and commercialization processes.
8. Source and evaluate new raw materials and packaging components with suppliers.
9. Maintain project documentation, product specifications, and development records.
10. Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify new product opportunities and industry trends.
11. Support customers during product development and provide technical information when required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related fields.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in New Product Development within the cosmetics, personal care, or OEM manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of cosmetic formulation, manufacturing processes, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong project management and coordination skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in OEM/ODM cosmetic manufacturing.
• Knowledge of ASEAN Cosmetic Directive and cosmetic registration processes.
• Experience working with international customers.
