New Product Development Supervisor

Job Summary

The Product Development team is responsible for driving the end to end development of new products and product improvements that support the company's growth strategy and innovation pipeline. As an individual contributor, the role leads cross-functional product development projects from concept generation through commercialization, ensuring products meet consumer needs, market trends, quality standards, and business objectives. The Product Development team collaborates closely with Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, Regulatory, and Sales to successfully deliver commercially viable innovations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end product development projects from concept creation, feasibility assessment, development, testing, commercialization, and post-launch evaluation.
• Identify market opportunities by analyzing consumer insights, industry trends, competitive products, and emerging technologies.
• Develop product concepts and business cases that align with the company's innovation and growth priorities.
• Partner with Marketing to define product positioning, target consumers, and value propositions for new product launches.
• Collaborate with R&D to translate product concepts into commercially viable formulations and specifications.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Regulatory, and Quality teams to ensure timely and successful product commercialization.
• Manage project timelines, milestones, risks, and cross-functional deliverables to ensure on-time execution.
• Conduct product benchmarking, competitive analysis, sensory evaluations, and product performance reviews to support innovation decisions.
• Evaluate post-launch performance and recommend product enhancements, renovations, or portfolio optimization initiatives.
• Prepare business presentations, innovation updates, and project recommendations for leadership review.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, Nutrition, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in Product Development, Innovation, Brand Management, Category Management, or New Product Development within the FMCG, Food Manufacturing, Consumer Goods, or related industry.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional product development or innovation projects from concept to commercialization.
• Strong understanding of consumer insights, product lifecycle management, innovation processes, and commercialization.
• Experience working with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and Commercial teams.
• Strong project management, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
