What they need
NHS Pathway Specialist
ADHD Certify — Hinckley, Leicestershire
Full-time, permanent | In-person | From £28,000 per year, depending on experience
ABOUT THE ROLE
ADHD Certify is a private healthcare provider specialising in autism and ADHD assessment and treatment services. Alongside our private work, we hold NHS commissioning contracts with Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), delivering NHS-funded assessments through Right to Choose and other commissioned pathways.
The NHS Pathway Specialist owns the operational management of our NHS-commissioned services. If you've done this work before at another private provider delivering NHS contracts, you'll know how important — and specialist — this role is. We're looking for someone who can take genuine ownership of the NHS side and keep it running smoothly, compliantly and defensibly.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
ICB dashboard and commissioner reporting
Own and maintain the full ICB dashboard across every commissioning contract
Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc activity reports in line with each ICB's specification
Track activity against indicative activity plans (IAPs) and flag variance in good time
Prepare evidence for commissioner reviews, contract meetings and quality assurance visits
Referral to Treatment (RTT) and pathway management
Manage the end-to-end RTT pathway for NHS-referred patients
Apply correct clock starts, stops, pauses and treatment codes
Monitor 18-week compliance and flag potential breaches early
Investigate the cause of any breaches and support corrective actions
Referral screening and acceptance
Screen incoming NHS referrals for suitability against each ICB's commissioning criteria
Accept, defer or return referrals with clear reasoning documented in every case
Communicate decisions clearly and professionally to referrers and patients
Contract monitoring
Maintain a clear working knowledge of every contract we hold and the specific stipulations within each
Track contract review dates, renewal timelines and change-control processes
Flag emerging risks, non-compliance or contractual concerns to the Managing Director without delay
Working across teams
- Work closely with our Patient Success, QA and clinical teams to ensure NHS-referred patients are booked, treated and reported on in line with every contract
ABOUT YOU — ESSENTIAL
Proven experience in an NHS pathway management, RTT, commissioning or contract-reporting role
Strong working knowledge of Referral to Treatment (RTT) rules and 18-week pathway management
Experience of preparing and submitting activity and performance reports to NHS commissioners or ICBs
Experience of screening or triaging referrals against defined acceptance criteria
Excellent data and reporting skills, including confident use of Excel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities
Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, information governance and UK GDPR
DESIRABLE
Previous experience in a similar role within another independent or private assessment provider delivering NHS-commissioned services
Experience working with Right to Choose or dynamic purchasing framework contracts
Experience using Cliniko or similar clinical records systems
Previous experience within an autism, ADHD, mental health or neurodevelopmental service
WHAT WE OFFER
From £28,000 per year, depending on experience, subject to annual review
28 days annual leave
Workplace pension scheme
Access to relevant training and continuing professional development
A values-led team that takes clinical governance, patient care and staff wellbeing seriously
In-person work at our Hinckley office (Suite 1, 1-9 Castle Street, LE10 1DA)
Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, standard office hours
Reporting into our Senior Patient Support Manager, with regular oversight from the Managing Director
PRE-EMPLOYMENT
The successful candidate will need to provide evidence of right to work in the UK, satisfactory references, and complete an enhanced DBS check and mandatory induction training (safeguarding, information governance, health and safety).
