Night Auditor

Position Summary

An upper-upscale downtown hotel is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and service-driven Night Auditor to join our Front Office team. The Night Auditor is responsible for providing exceptional overnight guest service while completing the nightly audit and ensuring accurate financial and operational reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform nightly audit and end-of-day procedures accurately and efficiently.
• Reconcile guest accounts, room charges, payments, cash, and credit card transactions.
• Complete daily financial, occupancy, and operational reports.
• Check guests in and out and assist with reservations and room assignments.
• Respond professionally to guest requests, questions, and concerns.
• Handle billing questions and resolve discrepancies or escalate when necessary.
• Monitor the hotel overnight and follow all safety and security procedures.
• Review arrivals, departures, VIPs, and special requests for the following day.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming Front Desk and lobby.
• Communicate important guest and operational information to the morning team.
• Follow hotel policies, procedures, cash-handling standards, and service expectations.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel Front Desk, Night Auditor, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and basic accounting/math skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable using computers and hotel property management systems
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
