About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable, confident and professional Full-Time Night Auditor to join our Front Office team at Pacific Hotel Cairns.

Working across a roster of four overnight shifts (10pm-6am) and one afternoon shift each week, you will take responsibility for the smooth operation of the hotel throughout the night. You’ll provide professional service to overnight guests, complete the nightly audit, balance daily revenue and ensure the hotel is prepared for the morning team.

This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced Guest Service Agent who is confident working independently, has strong attention to detail and enjoys taking ownership of the overnight operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide friendly and professional service to overnight guests
• Complete guest check-ins, check-outs and payment processing
• Perform the nightly system audit and ensure all transactions are accurate
• Balance daily revenue, reconcile accounts and prepare financial reports
• Respond to guest requests, complaints and emergencies in a calm and professional manner
• Monitor hotel security and complete regular property checks
• Handle telephone calls, emails and late-night reservations
• Prepare arrival information and documentation for the morning team
• Follow hotel procedures for incidents, emergencies and evacuations
• Maintain accurate records and provide a detailed handover to the morning shift
• Keep reception and lobby areas clean, secure and presentable

About You:

• Previous experience as a Guest Service Agent or in hotel reception is essential
• Previous Night Audit experience is highly regarded
• Experience using OPERA Cloud is advantageous
• Confident working independently and responsibly without direct supervision
• Strong customer service, communication and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and confidence handling payments and financial transactions
• Calm and professional when responding to difficult or unexpected situations
• Well organised, reliable and able to manage competing priorities
• Available to work overnight shifts, including weekends and public holidays
